Roof Surveys in London and the Home Counties
A roof survey from Prowle & Co LLP gives you a clear, independent opinion on the condition of a roof, written by a building surveyor who spent many years working on roofs before moving into surveying. Prowle & Co LLP is regulated by RICS.
Roof Survey for a House or Flat Purchase
A specialist roof survey before you buy tells you the condition of the roof, whether it is near the end of its life, and what work is likely to be needed, so you can negotiate and plan your budget.
Roof Leak Investigation
Leaks are often blamed on the wrong thing. The cause may be a valley, flashing, chimney, gutter, flat roof junction or condensation rather than the tiles themselves. We trace the likely cause and set out what needs to be done.
Roof Condition Survey
For homeowners, landlords and leaseholders who want to know where they stand. We report on the coverings, ridges, hips, verges, valleys, chimneys, leadwork, gutters and roof space where accessible.
Drone Roof Survey
We use a drone and a pole mounted camera to inspect high and hard to reach roofs safely, usually without the need for scaffolding. Ideal for London terraces, tall houses and roofs hidden behind parapets.
Inspection of New Roofing Work
If you are unhappy with roofing work that has been carried out, we give a balanced opinion on whether it has been done to an acceptable standard and what, if anything, needs correcting.
What You Receive
- A written report in plain English, delivered as a PDF
- Photographs of the roof as evidence of the inspection
- The condition of each part of the roof, and the cause of any defects found
- Our recommendations and an outline of the work needed
What a Roof Survey Does Not Include
Our roof surveys give recommendations and an outline scope of work. They do not include writing specifications, reviewing contractors' quotations, or managing building contracts. We do not carry out roofing work, so our advice is independent.
